Introducing Girl Scout Brownie Rebecca. Rebecca was our top reader in our Room to Read The World Change Challenge. She totaled 525 minuets in one month! Congratulations! Rebecca is always ready to help and was a big contributor during our cookie sale too. She attended cookie booths as well as personal sales. Rebecca is always involved, up for having fun, and trying new things. Way to go Rebecca!

Adding extra hot pink and glitter fabric paint to her "Responsibility Bag" as we earned our Responsible For What I Say And Do Petal.
Here she is all dressed up for our Halloween Party Meeting. We had great snacks, played games and danced to some music.
At this meeting Rebecca is one of our color guards. Thank you for doing a great job!
We created harmonica's out of Popsicle sticks. Which was a really cute and inexpensive idea I found at Housing a Forest. Check it out to make them your self... http://www.housingaforest.com/popsicle-stick-harmonica. Luckily for us there were easy to follow instructions as well as a supply list. Everything on the list were things that we had already in our girl scout supply storage. These turned out great! Everyone was able to get theirs to work and experiment with different sounds. If you pinched the two sticks together more it made a different sound then if you left a little gap. We even constructed an orchestrated song at the end of our meeting. Turned out great, a little off key but that was only because I've never been a conductor before. :)
Overall, a noisy but creative craft that they loved to make. As they were coming together, as the ah-ha moment came, you could see and hear the curiosity in the room. They were interested in how to make the different sounds. They followed spoken directions and tested fine motor skills while crafting them. At the end they personalized them to their liking which is always the best part. Were so artsy craftsy!
